The Korean giant Kia officially unveiled its largest vehicle to date, the Telluride, at the North American Auto Show at the beginning of 2019.
It is manufactured at the carmaker’s plant in West Point, Georgia and is positioned as the brand’s flagship SUV.
It was a surprise when Kia announced to release the vehicle in the Middle East as many of us thought that the boxy 7-seater SUV would be limited to the North American market.
It has been a couple of months since the official announcement by Kia and the Telluride has already gone on sale there. Let’s have a closer look what the Telluride has to offer and how much it costs in the UAE market.

In the UAE, Kia Telluride is currently being offered in three unique trim levels, the LX, EX and range-topping SX.
Prices of Kia Telluride LX start at AED 119,000 anf go up to 125,000. The EX trim level is priced from AED 150,000 to 160,000, while the top trim level SX costs between AED 170,000 to AED 175,000.

Under the hood, the UAE-specs Kia Telluride comes with a 3.8L V6 engine, which generates 291 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Telluride is a 3-row SUV and takes on the likes of some big players like the Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Pilot, Volkswagen Teramont and Ford Explorer. Kia has come prepared for the tough competition and starting with the looks, the Telluride certainly looks fresh in the segment.
