2021 Kia Seltos Officially Unveiled In U.S.

Kia used the ongoing L.A. auto show to officially launch the Seltos compact SUV in the United States.

Scheduled to go on sale in the US-market in the first quarter of 2020, the Seltos slots in between the funky Soul crossover and Sportage SUV.

Featuring rugged exterior design, the 2021 Kia Seltos provides a comfortable and tech-savy cabin, a choice of two fuel sipping 4-cylinder engines and an optional all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring control.

When Kia Seltos reaches local Kia dealerships early next year, it will be available in 5 unique trims: LX, EX, S 2.0L, S 1.6T and SX.

The official Kia Seltos pricing details have yet to be announced, however, sources close to the South Korean carmaker state that the newcomer will cost less than $22,000!

• Dealership arrival

The all-new Kia Seltos is scheduled to go on sale in the United States during the first quarter of 2020. Exact dealership arrival date have yet to be disclosed by Kia.

• Engineline-up & transmission options

The 2021 Kia Seltos offers a choice of two different 4-cylinder engines. The base 2,0L four-cylinder unit generates 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (called IVT).

The second engine option is a more powerful 1.6 liter direct injection turbo engine, which packs 175 horsepower and is mated to the 7-speed-dual-clutch transmission.

• AWD availability

Yes, Kia Seltos comes with AWD system! All-wheel drive with torque vectoring will be available on select trim levels.

• Trim levels

Consumers will have a choice of 5 trim levels. Those are the LX, EX, S 2.0L, S 1.6T and SX.

• MSRP

The official 2021 Kia Seltos pricing details will be announced closer to the vehicle’s on sale date. At this point, we only know that the entry-level Seltos will be priced under $22,000. You can expect the fully-loaded Kia Seltos to top out at around $30,000.

2023 Kia Seltos colors range features 8 different “single” paint shades including the Starbright Yellow, Mars Orange, Neptune Blue and several others. There are also 4 two-tone color options available.
