When Kia Motors America took the Sedona minivan out of their lineup last year, industry insiders believed an all-new model would be arriving for 2014.
Imagine their surprise when the 7-seat Kia minivan model was re-introduced with nothing more than a few small styling changes.

2014 Sedona Minivan – LX, EX Trim Levels, Features
The 2014 Sedona minivan comes with seating for seven passengers.
There are a pair of different trim levels to choose from, the LX and EX.
The base LX model still has plenty to offer, with the likes of 16-inch steel wheels, foglights, rear privacy glass, roof rack rails, rear parking sensors, air-conditioning with rear controls, a 60/40-split third-row seat, keyless entry, cruise control, a tilt-only steering wheel, Bluetooth phone connectivity and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, a USB port and an auxiliary audio jack.
Moving up to the EX trim level means having the option of the Power Package, which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, dual power-sliding side doors, a rearview camera (display in the rearview mirror) and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
All of the optional features you can add to the LX are available in the EX trim, as well as adding heated mirrors, power rear vent windows, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated front seats and a trip computer.
The EX comes with a ton of options including the Luxury package that comes with a sunroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-adjustable pedals and a driver’s seat memory feature.
There is also the option of a navigation system with an 8-speaker Infinity sound system.

Smooth V6 Engine, 24 MPG (Highway)
The new Sedona has a 3.5L V6 that makes 269 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque under the hood.
Power is delivered to the front wheels via a 6-spped automatic transmission. Fuel economy clocks in at 17 city, 24 highway and 20 combined mpg.
Safety Features
There is a laundry list of standard safety features, including antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front seat side-impact airbags, side-curtain airbags and active front head restraints.
Rear parking sensors are standard on all Kia Sedona models, while a rearview camera is optional on the LX and standard on the EX.
Interior Design With Special Features
There is much to like about the functional interior, with noise levels very low and captains chairs in the front and second row that offer comfort and plenty of legroom.
Kids and smaller folks will fit nicely into the 60/40-split third-row bench seat.
There is also no lack of storage space in the interior, including a center console that has been designed to fit tablets and other mobile devices.
If you need to store something much bigger, you can fold all or part of the third row into the floor to create as much as 80 cubic feet of space.
If you need even more room, the second row seats can be either folded forward or removed completely, creating a roomy 141.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
