South Korean automotive media reported today that the refreshed Hyundai Ioniq EV is scheduled to go on sale in South Korea this June.

The vehicle will incorporate some minor styling tweaks up front and rear.

You can expect more changes inside, with the dashboard getting a rather big makeover thanks in large part to the addition of the bigger infotainment system.

Also bigger will be the battery of the Ioniq EV. Latest rumors suggest that the vehicle will get a 39kWh battery, which will enable it to achieve 172 miles of range (EPA).

Stay tuned!

With the current 28kWh battery, the rated range (NEFZ) is already at 170 miles. With 39kWh, a range of 220 miles should be possible!

  2. Mike says:

The current Ioniq EV has a 124-mile EPA range. I think this is the most accurate measurement of the range for EVs today.

So, indeed, with the larger battery the range would increase somewhere in the EPA range of 168 – 172 miles.
