Kia Motors UK has announced plans to launch the sale of a Pro_cee’d GT 3-door hatchback in July!
Scheduled to go on sale in the UK on July 1., the pro_cee’d GT high-performance car will be available in two trim levels: GT and GT Tech.
Sitting atop the cee’d range, the most eagerly anticipated new Kia vehicle will carry a price tag of £19,995.
To mark the carmaker’s entry into the highly-competitive high performance hatchback market, Kia will first launch a limited production pro_cee’d GT, called “1st Edition” model.
The Pro_cee’d GT 1st Edition model’s production will be limited to 500 units only. No more than 50 units of this special car will hit the Kia dealerships in the UK!
Roughly one year after the pro_cee’d GT 3-door arrival, the GT range will expand with the introduction of a cee’d GT 5-door. The 5-door GT model will appear in Kia’s stores in early 2014.

Kia pro_cee’d GT Engine Specs
Kia’s first high-performance car is powered by a turbocharged version of the 1.6L direct-injection petrol engine, which generates 2014 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque.
The GT accelerates from 0-60mph in 7,4 seconds and has a top-speed of 143mph.
The steering has been upgraded to provide a more direct and sporting feel, while the re-tuned suspension ensures that the new pro_cee’d GT is more than capable of handling its impressive power and torque outputs.
The car features stiffer springs and bushes, as well as larger rear anti-roll bar. It rides on a stylish 18-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires.
The brakes have a size of 300mm (ventilated) at the front and 262mm at the rear and are the largest of any fitted to the cee’d range, states Kia UK.
