Kia recently revealed a few details about the upcoming Cee’d GT 5-door and Pro_Cee’d GT 3-door hatchbacks, including dome teaser sketches of the new models.
Both vehicles won’t see the light of day until the Geneva Auto Show which kicks off in spring 2013, but there are now a few spy shots of the Pro_Cee’d GT out there, all of which were snapped when the new car was entering the Kia research and development center in Germany.
As you might expect, the vehicle was camouflaged to the max, but there are still some cool details to be seen in the spy photos.
Among the visible features were the 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, side skirts, dual oval-shaped tailpipes sitting on either side of the rear diffuser, and, if you look real close, a little glimpse of the aluminum trim and Recaro sports seats found in the interior of the GT car.
The camouflaging makes it hard to see everything, but if you could, you would also see the aerodynamic rear spoiler, the new lamp clusters and grill that adorn the front of the car, and an interior that Kia says will include alloy pedals, a sports steering wheel, and bespoke surface materials. You will just have to take their word for it at this time.

A peek under the hood would reveal that both GT models will come equipped with an improved version of the 1,6L four-cylinder engine with direct injection GDI technology and a twin-scroll turbocharger.
That will take both Kia models from 0-100 km/h in less than 8 seconds, whilst also delivering 204 horsepower and 265 Nm of maximum torque. A 6-speed manual transmission will be found in both models.
Kia has also revealed that significant upgrades have been made to the chassis and suspension systems, which consumers in Europe will see when both the Cee’d GT and Pro_Cee’d GT’s hit the Kia showrooms there next spring. [Photosource: Kia Slovenija FB]
