The refreshed Cee’d 5-door hatchback has been spotted undergoing some city and winter testing in previous month’s, and now its latest stop takes it to the world famous test track in Nurburgring, Germany.
It was about a month ago when we last saw the heavily camouflaged Cee’d prototype with a standard exterior, but with a roll bar and Recaro seats on the inside.
That version of the new car is the one on display in an all new spy video, and we believe it’s the Cee’d GT hot hatchback that is hiding under the covers.
That model, like all the others in the Cee’d lineup (pro_cee’d 3-door and cee’d Sporty Wagon), is sure to undergo a few changes for the 2016 model year.

The existing Cee’d GT comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, but there is reason to believe that Kia’s new 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which is currently used on the Hyundai i30 Turbo, will also be made available for the facelifted model.
It has not yet known whether or not the 1.6L GDI turbo engine will get a boost in power from its existing 204-horsepower (150 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft).
The current model has a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h) and goes from 0 to 62 mph in a brisk 7.7 seconds.
It’s tough to see what exterior changes may come because of the camouflage, but the usual mid-cycle upgrades are expected.
These include changes to the bumpers, grille and lighting in front and back, as well as some upgrades to the interior of the vehicle.
Word is that Kia will unveil the refreshed Cee’d GT in August, after which it will be put on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The GT has to come out and be tested some time. I think the GT already been out though and not caught as of yet.
