The pro_cee’d GT is set to become the power performer in Kia Australia’s garage.
Kia Motors Corp. unveiled the stunning 3-door hot hatch at the Geneva Motor Show and announced that Australia will be the only market, outside of Europe, where the car will be available.
Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer Tony Barlow said that the news was incredibly exciting as that the arrival of the all-new Kia pro_cee’d GT will herald a new level of performance for the Aussie market.

Mr. Barlow was not able to comment on when the vehicle would arrive in showrooms across the country. He also told that price and availability would be announced as soon as possible.
He went on to say that the pro_cee’d GT will not be available in Europe until the middle of this year, which means there is no real indication of when Australian production would begin.
For now he feels that the announcement is more than enough to get the excitement level up.
The high performance Kia pro_cee’d GT has a ton of power under the hood thanks to the 1.6L T-GDI four-cylinder engine boosted by a twin-scroll turbocharger and strengthened internal components.
The 150kW and 265Nm of torque represents a 51% increase in maximum power output, while torque output is 61% better than that delivered by the stock 1.6L GDI engine.
A 6-speed manual gearbox will come standard on the pro_cee’d GT, giving it a top speed of 230km/hr and the ability to go from 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds. [Source: Theautochannel]
