The Kia-World.net editorial team hit the road yesterday early in the morning to take the first part of the EURO2012 tour to Poland. After a few hours of driving and some quick stops, we arrived to Vienna, the capital city of Austria.
Our host in Vienna was Mr. Gilbert Haake, the Head of public relations at Kia Austria. He invited us for a delicious dinner where we had discussed about his work at Kia Motors Austria and Kia cars in general. Afterwards, we went for a walk towards the city center to see some famous tourist sights.
In the meantime, the cee’d was parked safely in a hotel’s garage. The 1,6L diesel-engine powered cee’d 5-door hatchback performed really well on our way to Vienna. At some point during our ride, we were caught by a heavy rain, but we had no problems handling it in such bad road conditions.
During the trip to Austria, we achieved the average fuel consumption of 5,3L/100 km! This is a pretty good number, especially when considering that the vehicle’s fuel consumption increases significantly once your speed surpasses 90 km/h. We were driving mostly on highways at 120-130 km/h.
