The 3-door pro_ceed, which debuted at the 2012 Paris International Auto Show, goes on sale in Europe in March. It will be the third member of the popular Kia cee’d family.
The newest Kia pro_ceed 3-door hatch is a little more sophisticated than the other members of the family. It features all the improvements seen on the 5-door, but also exapnds on the sporty appearance that made its predecessor such a big hit.
Buyers of the 2013 pro_cee’d will be able to choose from the same line-up of engines, transmissions, and running gears that appeared on both the cee’d 5-door and wagon models.
The overall length (4310 mm), width (1780 mm) and wheelbase (2650 mm) are the same as with the 5-door model, but the body of the 3-door model has a significantly sportier appearance than the others, which is sure to please.
The roofline of the 3-door pro_cee’d is a little lower (40 mm) than it’s predecessor, and it also sees the C-pillar pushed back 220 mm.
It also gets new side panels behind the B-pillar, as well as new side windows, C-pillar, tailgate, rear light clusters and rear bumper.
The all-new Kia pro_cee’d will further set apart from its family members by coming in 6 special colors only available on that model.
Depending on the model, the pro_ceed exterior gains some real attention grabbers such as LED daylight running lights and LED rear lamp clusters and a dark chrome front grille.
There are premium options to be found inside such as leather seats and steering wheel, piano black dashboard and centre console, and alloy pedals.
The new pro_cee’d comes with a number of safety and convenience options that include electric heated folding exterior mirrors with puddle lamps, panoramic sunroof, large touch screen display with navigation, self parking system, tire pressure monitoring system and many others.
