Kia of USA has announced pricing for the 2014 Cadenza premium sedan, its most powerful and technologically advanced vehicle in the US market.

The all-new Kia Cadenza 2014 (model year) will only be available in a single trim level and will have an MSRP of $35,100, plus $800 destination and handling.

The stylish premium sedan will be available for sale later this month.

The 2014 Cadenza draws its design inspiration from Europe and is a refined car that delivers a high level of performance.

It will also have class-leading interior space and a stunning list of standard features such as keyless entry, advanced navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic and UVO eServices, Bluetooth wireless technology, an eight-inch touch screen, 550-watt Infinity 12-speaker audio system, Rear Camera Display and leather-trimmed seats with heat and power adjustment in the front.

While most will be content with the laundry list of standard features, there are some who will want to add the optional packages available for the Cadenza.

2014 Cadenza Luxury, Technology Package Pricing

The Luxury Package takes the MSRP of the vehicle to $38,100 and includes a full-length panoramic sunroof and power retractable sunshade, opulent Nappa leather trim with heated rear outboard seats and ventilated 12-way adjustable driver seat.

Furthermore, the Luxury trim also offers HID headlamps with adaptive front lighting system -AFLS, a seven-inch LCD instrument cluster for superb clarity and customization, a heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping capabilities, and two-position memory setting for driver’s seat, outside mirrors, and steering column.

Also available is the technology package, taking the MSRP to $41,100 and adding 19-inch alloy wheels, an electronic parking brake, Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), a Blind Spot Detection System (BSD) and Kia’s first-ever Lane Departure Warning System -LDWS.

Additionaly, the front side windows feature hydrophobic technology, which repels water for enhanced visibility during rainy weather conditions.

The all-new 2014 Cadenza premium sedan fits perfectly in the emerging space between mainstream and luxury, which is becoming increasingly popular with discerning car shoppers.

The car’s luxurious cabin and incredible list of available technology features make the Cadenza a major player in the marketplace.

The brunt of the impressive performance comes from the all-aluminum 3.3L V6 engine which generates 293 horsepower. The engine features Kia’s highly-advanced gasoline direct injection (GDI) technology.

That power is transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed sport-tuned automatic transmission, while a fully independent suspension delivers a combination of comfort and sportiness.

I think they have it priced too cheaply. People are going to see it starts less than $40k, and make the argument that you “get what you pay for”. This car’s image is now shot.

On the other hand, KIA priced the the Optima for Germany at $33k, and thereby repelled a large amount of customers. So this isn’t the way to go eighter…

The “one trim” reminds me of the Amanti, which had no trim level (in the USA). It was the Amanti, that’s it. It had different options though, and most came with the leather seating material, sunroof, etc. But the standard Amanti had cloth seats, no sunroof, and an analog clock in the dash.

When I saw the Cadenza at the auto show in Chicago it looked pretty nice. I’ll be excited to see it available for purchase on the lot!
