A closer look at the 2019 Kia Optima prices – U.S. market model, all trim levels: LX, LX 1.6T, EX, SX and SX Limited.
Kia have to be delighted at the response they have received from consumers and critics alike when it comes to the new Kia Optima.
Everyone seems really taken with the new upscale design and the addition of many new features on each of the trim levels.
Sales are brisk and the reviews are solid, with many people particularly sold on the affordability of the new Kia model, which breaks down as follows.

Here is a little breakdown of what you get for those starting Optima prices:
Optima LX
The base Kia Optima LX model price starts at just $22,200, but comes absolutely loaded with great standard features that includes rear camera display.
The LX trim level also comes with a 5-inch touchscreen audio display, 6-way adjustable front seats for driver and passenger active Eco system, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
2019 Kia Optima 1.6T LX
You will find all of the features of the LX trim in this one, but the big difference here is the new 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that powers this model.
The $24,140 starting price for the Kia Optima LX 1.6T is more than fair, and makes this a performance sedan model that is actually affordable and fuel efficient at the same time.
Optima EX
The mid-level 2019 Optima EX trim pricing starts at $25,440, and comes with a bunch of great standard features.
Some of these features fall into the upscale category, and they include power-folding heated mirrors, dual-projection headlights, and LED taillights.
There are also a bunch of options to choose from, such as leather trimmed seats, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, upgraded audio system, and more.
Optima SX
Moving further up the trim level chain will take you to the 2019 Kia Optima SX, which has a starting price of $29,940.
Under the hood you will find a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which is just the beginning of the upgrades found on this model.
Also included in the price is a panoramic sunroof, Bi-Xenon HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Lamps, leather seating, 18-inch alloy wheels, and much, much more.
2019 Kia Optima SX-L (limited model)
Sitting at the top of the line is the Optima SX-L trim level, which is a fully loaded version of the Optima that starts at $36,090.
Some of the most impressive features on this model are those that are there to assist the driver. These include front collision warning, advanced smart cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.
Also included among the standard features are a wireless phone charging system and quilted Nappa leather seats.
As you can see, it doesn’t really matter which of the trim levels best suits your budget, as they all have features that are more than you would expect for the price paid.
It’s also easy to see why the new Kia Optima is selling at such a brisk pace.
Does anyone know if the 2016 or 2017 Kia Optima’s will offer Chrome wheels? They are being advertised that way on TV and at NY Autoshow, but it’s not an option in the brochure. I have tried researching this and contacting Kia, but no luck. Really disappointed with the aluminum alloy looking rims on the SX and SXL’s. This could be a deal breaker for me. I will hold out for a 2017 if it comes with chrome, but I would like to know ahead of time.
