The Los Angeles Auto Show is coming soon, and one of the most anticipated vehicles that will be on display is the all-new 2016 Kia Sorento CUV.
The vehicle has been dramatically changed both inside and, and will be larger than the outgoing model so that it can easily accommodate a third seating row.
The features included with the 2016 Sorento crossover vehicle talk of luxury, but this is also a vehicle that has been built for some adventure thans to the optional AWD system.
The new Sorento 2016 will be available in L, LX, EX, SX and SXL trim levels and will offer both front wheel drive and all wheel drive options.
Styling-wise, the new Sorento has received a full body makevocer.
One of the biggest design changes can be seen at the front of the vehicle, where you will find wraparound headlights, new fog lights, and a different take on the iconic tiger nose grille.
That latter feature was first seen on the Kia Cross GT concept car and already applied to the new Sedona minivan.
Kia released a picture of the US-specs Sorento CUV which also reveals exclusive ice-cube LED lights up front, much like those seen in the 2015 Optima and the cee’d hot hatchback.
There are also some very nice looking chrome accents in a number of different spots, as well as an eye-catching set of chrome alloys.
Note: The Sorento pictured here appears to be the range topping SX-L model.
The sleek exterior design is possible thanks to an increase in length by 95 mm, as well as a 15mm reduction in height, and 5mm of additional width.
That all adds up to even more space on the inside of the crossover SUV.
The interior features a whole host of upgrades to go with that extra space.
The European design team in Frankfurt were the one behind the interior work, and they have created a spacious cabin that employs high quality materials that give the new Kia Sorento a real upscale look and feel.
News update: the 2016 Sorento goes on sale in the USA in January. Here are the official prices!
It looks like the same Sorento with a Sedona nose. So where is the update ?? The market is passing KIA by.
Click bait. please don’t mislead us with big headline like Sorento release date announced” and then not announce the date…..very frustrating turns people away from websites when they do that.
