Kia Reveals New Sedona Minivan Pricing

It has long been thought that the minivan segment is dead, with the crossover vehicles considered to be the perfect replacement.

Kia believes otherwise, which is why the company is bringing back the Sedona van for the 2015 model year!

Make no mistake, this is a minivan, but you would be hard pressed to believe that when you see it for the first time.

Kia designers have dipped into the European design playbook to deliver a crossover vehicle inspired people-mover that is loaded with features and the latest technology.

New Base and Range-Topping Trim Levels: L, SX, Limited

The 2015 Sedona comes with three new distinct trim levels: L, SX, and the top of the line SX Limited.

Those join the LX and EX trims that were available in the 2014 model.

Pricing starts at just $25,900 for the base L model and goes all the way up to $39,700 for the fully loaded SX Limited.

There is a lot to love about this new version of the Sedona, and it all starts with the stunning new design.

The new look is, as previously mentioned, very much like a crossover vehicle.

The new Sedona has a wide stance and cab forward design that gives it a very confident stance. The Kia signature tiger nose grille is up front, as are LED positioning headlights.

The vehicle also adds a little length to the wheelbase, which means more passenger and cargo space on the inside.

Around back you will find a new rear design layout that included an integrated bumper and LED taillights, as well as a stylish roof spoiler.

7- or 8-Passenger Configurations

Things are just as impressive on the inside, with the choice of either 7- or 8-passenger configurations.

The added length means more legroom for passengers in all three rows, not to mention a ton of cargo space, too.

The use of soft touch materials throughout the cabin gives the Sedona an elegant, upscale appearance.

The beauty of the seating and the interior cabin design as a whole is the level of flexibility that it offers.

There is added cargo space thanks to a front center console that is unique to the segment.

The ability to slide and stow the seats in the second row means being able to add even more cargo space.

The third row has a convenient 60/40 split, while available First Class lounge seating in the second row means having the option of facing the seats rearward.

List Of Premium Safety Features

There a stunning array of technology features, including the UVO eServices system that delivers entertainment and important details about the health of the vehicle.

Active safety features are built in, making this one of the safest vehicles out there, not just in the segment.

A big part of the safety of the vehicle comes from the use of ultra-high strength steel in the construction. That also helps make the cabin among the best in class when it comes to NVH levels.

Powertrain Specs

There are options under the hood, too, including the new Lambda Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 3.3-liter V6 engine, which replaces the 3.5-liter V6 found in the previous generation Sedona MPV.

This is the same engine that is used in the Sorento crossover vehicle and Cadenza premium. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission for a smooth, comfortable ride with superior handling.
