2014 Kia Rio changes
There have been a number of enhancements made to the 2014 model, including changes to the body, bumper and engine that add up to improved aerodynamics.
The Rio also uses smart key styling that give the driver a convenient folding key.
A few changes have been made to the interior including the addition of water temperature gauge and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
One of the most impressive new features on the Rio 5-door is that it is great for the environment.

1,6L GDI engine, 6-speed transmission
The 2014 Kia Rio comes in three separate trim levels (LX, EX, and SX) and a single engine option.
The 1.6-liter GDI 4-cylinder is mated to a 6-speed automatic and delivers 138 horsepower, not to mention great fuel efficiency.
The EPA ratings come in at 27/37 city/highway, which can actually be improved with the addition of the ECO package. That takes the EPA rating up to 28/37 mpg city/highway.
If you want sporty, the SX is the way to go, as it has 17-inch alloy wheels, front ventilated disc brakes, and paddle shifters.
The EX and SX come with a chrome front grilled surround, power windows and door locks, cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls, remote keyless entry, and tilt and telescopic steering.
There are also some great features found across all the trim levels that include AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio unit with SiriusXM Satellite Radio capabilities, and auxiliary and USB audio input jacks for connecting MP3 players with full iPod and MP3 controllability via the audio head unit and steering wheel-mounted controls.
Different packages add extra features
There are a number of upgrade options, starting with the Power Package for the 2014 Rio LX (automatic transmission only) that includes power windows with automatic up/down functionality on the driver’s window, and remote keyless entry.
The EX model comes with the option of the Convenience Package that delivers UVO infotainment system that features voice activation, automatic headlights, rear camera display, leather wrapped steering wheel, power folding side mirrors with illuminated turn signals, front fog lights, dual map lights, and illuminated visor vanity mirrors.
The ECO Package can also be added to the EX, which delivers increased fuel efficiency courtesy of ISG technology.
The Premium Package for the 2014 Kia Rio SX comes with a navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic, push-button start with Smart Key, leather seat trim, heated front seats and a power tilt/slide sunroof.
