Families on the lookout for a great looking minivan should consider the 2014 Kia Sedona, especially since it has just landed a 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s -NHTSA.
The minivan took top marks in the front and side impact tests, while picking up 4 stars in the roll-over test.

2014 Sedona Safety Features
It’s easy to understand why Kia’s large minivan performed so well when you take a look at the standard safety features it comes with.
There are all kinds of airbags to be found, including curtain bags, front-seat mounted side air bags, as well as the standard bags found in front.
The Sedona also comes with anti-lock braking -ABS, active front headrests, and electronic brake force distribution -EBD, which measure the load and weigh of the car before applying the necessary braking force.

The ESC system works with the others to prevent oversteer and understeer situations by applying individual brakes as needed. This is especially effective on slippery roads and in emergency situations.

The 2014 Kia Sedona comes in a pair of different trim levels, LX and EX, using an updated front bumper and grille to deliver a sleeker look than older models.
New additions also include 17-inch multi-spoke wheel that are standard on the EX and optional on the LX, LED positioning lights and standard fog lamps across both trims.
Also included is a rather unique storage compartment that can house all kinds of different electronic devices. The EX comes with leather trimmed seats, automatic climate control, and front seat heaters, all standard.
Under the hood you will find a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 269 hp and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic clutchless shifting.
