Kia Soul Red Zone Special Edition Release Date Announced

Kia Motors America have released the Red Zone Edition Soul, and there is a lot to love. Let’s take a look at what you can expect:

The Soul Red Zone Special Edition is based on the wildly popular Track’ster concept and is the first special edition model of the second generation Soul.

The Track’ster concept upon which the Red Zone Soul edition is based on was first seen at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.

The concept vehicle was a runaway success at the show, leading many to believe that Kia were inspired to create a special edition based on the popular model.

A limit of 2,000 Soul’s will be delivered to local Kia showrooms during the first quarter of 2014.

Kia Soul Red Zone specs, colors & features

Based on the 2014 Soul Plus model, the Red Zone model will use white exterior paint with sporty red accents and a one of a kind interior trim.

The Red Zone may seem like an odd name due to the brilliant white exterior color of the car, but it’s the red accents that really set the whole thing off.

Treatments can be found on the front grille, front and rear fascias, and side skirts, with large 18-inch alloy wheels adding to the aggressive stance of the car.

Under the hood you will find a 2.0-liter gasoline direct injected (GDI) four-cylinder engine which delivers 164 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Interior modifications

The interior of the car is something that really has to be seen to be believed, with great looking black cloth seats featuring striking red stitching.

Splashes of red can be found on a number of different interior elements, such as the black carpeted floor mats, shift knob ring, air vent ring, dash speakers and console tray trim.

As mentioned, the first special edition Kia Soul Red Zone will arrive in dealerships in the early part of 2014.
